Hey there sun lit traveller!
Welcome to the Sunny Side of Life! 🌞
Who we are
Hola Amigos! 👋 We're a couple of digital marketing wizards named Roxy and Archie. We've been living the dream under the Tenerife sun for three thrilling years. We have noticed a lack of clear information about events and excursions in Tenerife. Therefore we intend to fill the gap with this website, using our 15 years each of marketing skills.
Why Tenerife?
There seems to be a huge influx of people moving to Tenerife as well as a post covid booming tourism industry. You will find digital nomads, health gurus, retired couples and a whole lot of international tourists. Gentrification is in full swing here, which seems to be at the demise of the local inhabitants. Boasting the third best climate in the world, it seems there is also a very beautiful culture here. Spirituality and Christianity venerating the sea, and paying tribute firstly to the lost sailers of the island (bless their hearts), but also an older theme, the very mysterious guanche population who venerated the vengeful volcano god (Guayota kidnapped Magec, the sun, and shut it up in Teide, plunging the world into darkness). Anyway, that is a different tangeant my dear tourist friend! For now, stay tuned for the latest events and gossip.
Why make this website?
We have noticed that there is a big cry out for an event website for the whole island. Currently it seems to be managed on a provincial basis and is therefore, disjointed. I intend to get in touch with all of the local authorities to provide you with a clear list, that I will update regularly. This will obviously take me a little time, I have just started this website during Xmas 2023; We will need a few more months to bring this all together.
Stay tuned in the meanwhile.
I will be trying to update the listings every day. I have recently noticed that my events have started to rank really well, when looking at Google Insights and Analytics. Therefore I will be adding a lot more.
The Local Culture
Don't forgot to immerse yourself. You will find yourself pleasantly surprised. The people of this wonderful island are truly delightful. Their culture, past and tradition will surely blow you away. As I watched the procession of the virgin Mary in the Summer of 2023, I had goosebumps and found found myself completely in love with this beautiful culture.
